Do you think marriage is still needed in today's society? Why/why not?

To be honest I do not think that marriage is still needed in society today. The reason why I feel this way is because some people in general never want to get married so why should they be forced to? Being forced into a marriage for example if you are pregnant people feel as if that is the right thing to do. I disagree people get pregnant and should not have to marry just for the baby. For example my mother got married at 19 because she was pregnant a year later divorces because she married a man she was not in love with. If you marry when forced that relationship will never work out with all of the fighting because two people are unhappy. Society had changed so much from back in the day.

Do you see marriage in your future? Why or why not?

Yes one day I do see marriage in my future but not anytime soon. Before I decide to commit myself in a relationship I would like to have myself stable. I wan to graduate college and start my career before I get married. I want to go in my relationship knowing if anything goes wrong I can depend on myself. I want to be able to have money saved for a house and not have to live with my parents if I was married now. I have a lot of goals to complete for myself before I have to get married and have that commitment. Marriage is such a special thing and I want to be 100% ready and would not have to hold back for any reason if I was not ready.

To be honest I really am not quite sure why it is more socially acceptable for women to be homosexual than it is for men. Both women and men share the same gender with each other sexually (woman with woman, man with man) what makes the big difference? I know guys love when they see two women together sexually its a huge turn on for them. I have no idea why?I guess I will never understand that one. It is such a shame because when two guys are together I feel like they get that bad end of the deal. People always make fun of them using such ignorant words to describe them but its clearly OK for two women to be seen together er being intimate or what not. Men are always seemed to be looked at as the tough manly character and women being described as delicate. I have 5 very close guys friends and I also hear them talk how can I try and ignore them when all I hear is what a fantasy it would be if they had two girls sexually with them.I think they are crazy and like I said I guess I will never understand. I think everybody should be accepted for who they are and both women and men should be treated equally for being homosexuals.

I had a very busy and exciting weekend and now it is Monday and I am ready to start my week all over. I am in a wedding in May and on Saturday we had the bridal shower.It was a lot to plan but me and the rest of the bridesmaids did a pretty nice job. This so far has been a very crazy year I am going to be a bridesmaid in two weddings- does not seem like a lot but it defiantly is a lot of work! I had to say a speech at speech/ toast at the bridal shower and my mind went blank. After all the memories with the future bride i just did not know hoe to put the words on paper. I have never been a great public speaker and oh boy did i get so nervous up in front of everyone. In the past I have taken a public speaking class but sometimes people still get so nervous talking in front of the class. Well I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and I will see everyone on Thursday.

I re- read this question a few times already and i am still trying to find an answer to what I should say. I have not been very happy with females lately or for the past couple years. I think women give all women a bad name and reputation. On the media I do not see women showing any kind of respect for themselves and I think its really disturbing. I am not saying all women but most of the famous women throw themselves out their by their bodies. We mentioned in class about Paris Hilton and whenever I hear that name all I can think when I hear her name is sex video.I am pretty sure that is how she got famous.Females think by taking sexy pictures with no clothes on or making sex videos is going to get them through life. Well .... its not. So therefore, from the media today there is nothing positive I can really say. I believe females should have more self respect for themselves and their bodies. We are in 2010 and women can make a difference in the world lets not ruin our reputation by the media.

Irene and Clare

This blog is going to be a very good debate,with everyones personal opinion. I do not think Irene pushed clare out the window. Clare was going through her own life struggles and issues that she probably felt this was the easiest thing to do to solve her problem. Im guessing that she felt if she just fell out the window all her problems would go away and killing herself would be the easiest solution,when in reality its not. In the booked the author made it seem by Clares death Irene was very upset about it,so i dont think she would of pushed her out the window to kill her.

As I read the MTV article on sexting I was very shocked on how this picture message can travel so far along.When a woman sends a naked picture to her boyfriend for instance she does not expect this picture to be forwarded to all of his friends or whoever. This can ruin a womans reputation because of somebody being so ignorant and showing the picture off to his friends. As i read in the article these cell phone companies have records of all our pictures we have because they have access to it whenever. A sex related scandal can ruin a woman today because it gives off a wrong impression to others because it is your body and you should have more self control and not send it where there is a chance other people can see this naked picture.It can effect future jobs if there is a record from this case.Some guys wont take serious they will think you are just an easy girl and are willing to show your body off like that. If this sitiuation gets out in the public this case can be considered child pornography and can lead into jail. This is a serious situation and should be taken very seriously because it can ruin your reputation.
